Announcing the 2019 Historically Black College and University Tour!

    Our 4th Annual Historically Black College and University Tour is visiting Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia this time. Colleges on the schedule are Alabama A&M University, Albany State University, Morehouse College, Georgia Tech University, Spellman College, Clark Atlanta University, Fisk University, and Tennessee State University.

    We will be leaving Sunday, March 31st and returning Saturday, April 5th. Transportation and hotel accommodations will be provided along with all meals. Students should bring spending money for incidentals. Video interviews will be done before, during, and after the trip. There will also be a short writing assignment after the tour.

    We have openings for 16 students! To qualify you must be currently enrolled in Elkhart Community Schools (9th through 11th grade), maintain a 2.5 GPA minimum, obtain a reference from faculty, and write a 500 min./1000 max. word essay in APA format titled "Why I Think Exploring An HBCU Will Be A Positive Pathway For My Life". All races and genders are welcome to apply.

    In addition, Elkhart Community School students will earn one credit in U.S. History for participation in this tour. Requirements for this credit will be supplied by the Elkhart Community Schools and participation in the credit program is not a requirement for inclusion in the tour.
